LEED

Solaris Paper believes that to help create green buildings, we must also provide product systems that meet both sustainable environmental standards, as well as our high quality standards.

Higher quality towel and tissue products made from RRF (Rapidly Renewable Fiber) are a better environmental value than products made from a high concentration of recycled materials. That’s because higher-quality, better-performing products allow users to use less. That means less waste headed to the landfill, and less cost to you.

What is LEED?

Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design is a green building rating system developed by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) specifically for buildings like yours. It provides the most comprehensive framework for assessing a building’s overall environmental performance.

LEED® was created to:

  • Establish a common standard of environmental performance.
  • Promote buildings and facilities that are environmentally responsible, economically profitable, and healthy, productive places to live and work.
  • Increase awareness of the benefits of a green building.

Solaris Paper towel and tissue products contribute to an environmentally friendly building operation, and meet the requirements of the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) LEED standards. Our products are derived from rapidly renewable resources, a compliance pathway defined in EQc7 (Environmental Quality, credit 7) of LEED EBOM 2016 (v4) and IEQc3.3 (Indoor Environmental Quality, credit 3.3) of 2009 LEED EBOM (v3).
